Progress... Or Lack Thereof

So, my work on the Kingdom Postbox has sputtered, flared, sputtered... and collapsed.

January has been almost a total loss, for the exact same reason it generally is... I just can't decide which way to go. My plot, world and ideas seem fantastic one day and the next just don't seem good enough. I've gone through at least three different permutations of my novel ideas, just trying to find the one that fits. And I procrastinate, putting it off until next week, next month...

I wish I knew if all authors go through this. I thought that since this was a second draft it would be easier. Instead, I find myself even more stuck than normal.

I know that all I have to do is get on with it, just choose a direction and barrel on...

So there you have it. Stuck in the dolldrums...
